The Miami Dolphins recently hosted a series of Zoomcasts introducing most of the newest Dolphins players to the local Miami media.
Typical topics of discussion ranged from discovering why the players decided to join Miami to what are their training methods during the current period of coronavirus isolation.
What has immediately became apparent for these free agent signings was how much the players want to play for Brian Flores, and be part of a young, up and coming team with a bright future.
Byron Jones had “several teams interested [in signing him] but wanted to be part of something special.” He added “I love the prospect of joining a team on the up.” The Dolphins Cornerback position is indeed something special with Jones and Howard creating a formidable tandem at the position.
Joining a team on the ‘up’ was a familiar theme throughout as Emmanuel Ogbah echoed the same sentiments, as did the likeable former Patriot Kyle Van Noy who indicated that as well as being a versatile player who “expects to play everywhere”, Coach Flores also wants him to take on a leadership role within the locker room.
All the players expressed their desire to work hard - even in the current lockdown as best they can - and do what it takes to be successful, perhaps aligning with the Dolphins ethos of signing committed and cerebral players who are not necessarily big names, the aforementioned Jones and Van Noy aside.
With Elandon Roberts, Ted Karrass, Jonathan Howard, Ereck Flowers and Shaq Lawson making up the remaining contingent who were introduced to the media, this years free agent activity by the Miami Dolphins gets a high grade from Dol-Fan UK.
